Why Did Sasuke Become Evil Again
When 1st introduced, Sasuke Uchiha had a ton of potential equally a dark, revenge-imbued graphic symbol. As an Uchiha, he is loved by anybody, especially girls. However, as the time goes, he became 1 of the most polarising manga/anime characters of best. Equally Naruto progress throughout the years, many readers/watchers despise Sasuke, so permit's take a wait on how this Uchiha became the nigh hated character in all of Shōnen.

- Then he suddenly becomes semi-sane again for no reason after leaving that cave because Kishimoto needs a semi-sane Sasuke to talk west/his brother.
- Almost forgot this: 1st he says that he does not want Itachi'southward optics every bit he will encounter/do things differently and so what his blood brother wanted. He and then changes his listen super-fast & takes Itachi'south eyes & wants to honour his brother's wishes
- Then comes the Hokage meeting where he doesn't ask the difficult questions/fifty-fifty try to get the other sides & even appreciates DANZO of all people
- Then Sasuke suddenly wants to become Hokage of all things (which brings a encarmine annoying scene where anybody wants to become Hokage for five minutes)

- And so Sasuke, the guy who went out of his fashion to gather: Karin, Suigetsu & Jugo because he needed support against Akatsuki all of a sudden forgets team work because Kishimoto wants to again make a indicate despite the fact that Sasuke already knew the stupid point
- So Kishimoto gives Sasuke 1 of the stupidest reasons to fight Naruto that I take heard all considering Kishi wants a terminal fight between the two.
So, Sasuke did non have then much grapheme development after Itachi'south death. He just had Kishimoto throwing him whichever manner would make it easier for Kishi to write a story. Sasuke is like a bare slate that changes within a blink of an eye. Sasuke'southward character suffered a regression when he was not supposed to. Kishi simply kept changing the story then much that no real progress was fabricated downwardly whatever of those paths.
HIS MOTIVATIONS
Even later on he sorts all this nonsense out w/his resurrected brother & learns the true reason behind Itachi's actions (trying to prevent state of war), his motives were nonetheless irrational & overly emotional. His concluding authoritarian goal to stop war through fear is dumb. He wanted to kill all leaders & put himself up equally a mutual enemy people will hate together, who else tin run into where this programme might go incorrect? (like him dying for 1!) It becomes so convoluted that it takes losing an arm to make him realise how dumb it is & fifty-fifty then he simply submits because Naruto is more than childishly stubborn well-nigh his ideals than he is. To sum up, 1st, he wanted to exist in the village & learn, then he wanted to leave the village to be w/Orochimaru, next he wanted to impale Itachi, then he wanted to be hokage & destroy the place that Itachi wanted to be safe. He had "friends", then he tried to kill said "friends." And then, Sasuke is somewhat similar "I'm gonna kill Itachi because he killed my clan!" Just he doesn't know the context behind information technology Just he still act like he DOES know the context. That's why it'south quite obvious why people would despise him.
HIS Grapheme INCONSISTENCY
After Itachi shows how weak Sasuke is (& Gaara before him), we begin to see how irrational Sasuke is in his agony become the strength he needs to kill him. This is where the inconsistencies w/his character begins to reveal themselves. In the later parts of the first series, Sasuke'due south emotions completely take authorization & undermine his reason. Even afterwards learning that Itachi's deportment were for the greater proficient of the Subconscious Leaf, instead of following his path, he decides that redirecting his hatred & revenge at the people Itachi worked with and starting an all out state of war is the better option. Although these are all good examples of Sasuke doing something incredibly stupid from being overly emotional, he doesn't go fully crazy until he decides to support Madara's war EVEN after learning of Itachi's motive for killing the Uchiha and what he sacrificed to prevent such a thing. Despite his motivation to stop war/maybe fifty-fifty because of it, Itachi doing what he did was a dick motility considering its consequences. However, non merely was Sasuke blind to this fact & began fighting to avenge him, merely he was likewise blind to the fact that by avenging Itachi confronting Konoha he was causing the very affair Itachi died trying to prevent. To put the cerise on the cake, even subsequently Sasuke learns that Obito lied to him most Madara's involvement in the nine-Tails invasion, information technology doesn't put a paring in his resolve, despite this showing that it was really him who caused the Uchiha insurrection & in turn, their destruction.
HIS PERSONALITY

Sasuke has both a superiority & an inferiority circuitous, equally he is unwilling to acknowledge when someone is stronger than him, simply obsesses when he believes that they are. He seems to can't accept loss (except that 1 terminal boxing confronting Naruto). He'southward a jerk & is arrogant. He is always like "I'm better & stronger than you & you are a spec of dust below my fingernails & I reject to acknowledge you & you're annoying me". What bothers us is that he does this to everyone, even those far more powerful than him. He is e'er filled w/hatred & the desire of vengeance. He had no regards for the life of his comrades who are the only reasons he hasn't been killed many times. These traits makes him seriously unlikable.
THE FIGHTS HE WON
Most of his fight victories are asspulls/pis. Virtually everytime Sasuke was in danger/in a fight he clearly tin't win, some Deus Ex Machina shows up to save him/he magically gets a new, generic Shonen power-upward, an example is during his fight w/Deidara. This is why some people can't stand his fighting likewise.
HE BEATS/KILLS INTERESTING CHARACTERS
He's responsible for killing interesting Naruto villains such as Orochimaru, Danzo, Deidara, etc. Orochimaru couldn't even bring his plans to fruition nonetheless. & this is also another reason why people couldn't stand this arrogant, op Uchiha.
CONCLUSION
That's it for why I think people hates Sasuke Uchiha and so much. To sum it all up, imho, Sasuke Uchiha was a generic revenge-motivated Gary Stu, who, through a convoluted twist, becomes a bad guy w/too many character inconsistencies to accept seriously. Sasuke really is a testament of Kishimoto'south rushed & terrible writing, both in its inconsistencies & its lack of set up for important plot points.
Even so, I gotta admit that I honey how he turned out in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. His personality changes, his demeanour changed, funny this is now that he's the second strongest ninja alive & has the power to back up his airs, he'due south every bit apprehensive as anybody, they made him into a wondering ninja that reminds me a lot of Jiraiya. Yes, Sasuke was a pretty bad one. They wanted him as a stand-in for the the classic egdy emo teen trope, merely they turned him into that trope style too tardily. At that point well-nigh people were laughing at that concept. It'southward just that cringey and so was Sasuke. I disliked his brother every bit well.

Sasuke isn't my top five hated grapheme in Naruto too. That list is- Sakura, Kakashi, Obito, Hinata, and Itachi (bite me)

@beyonder97: everyone hates Danzo, but overall, he's not the nigh hated character in shonen. For instance, I love Danzo as a villain, simply not as a character. Also, Danzo is not one of the virtually polarising anime/manga characters of all-time, while Sasuke is.

He was the reason for Kyubi assail (the very first thing depicted in the serial) and the Uchiha clan massacre, he was a nighttime mirror of both Naruto and Sasuke, and he was the epitome of the "Shinobi are tools" philosophy that the very first antagonist gave, by rejecting his ain identity in favor of the Moon'due south Eye Programme.

Sasuke is a popular graphic symbol. I don't see how he is hated.
He was well built up, imo. I loved everything upto the death of Itachi. From there, he went downhill. Making choices that makes little sense and losing consistency. However,
Subsequently realising the truth of Itachi, if sasuke had decided to walk in a path of his own, staying away from central story trying to honour Itachi past stopping the war by himself. He doesn't join whatsoever team or get back to konoha due to believing that because what he had washed, he don't deserve to exist forgiven and doesn't deserve friends. Also he strategically (instead of rushing headfirst to a group of all kages and their lieutenants, hoping that information technology will work) isolates and assassinates (or kills) Danzo for revenge.
Past this time, his graphic symbol wouldn't be the same as before. He should exist fashion more mature and intelligent.
If the story went something like this, it would've been meliorate.
Sasuke is a terrible written and extremely unsympathic character simply most hated is a large stretch.
To be off-white, on Sasuke'due south part, Sakura was actually, really annoying.... and practically useless a majority of the time....

Seriously, what Gaara went through was horrific and he managed to overcome his hatred despite having a literal demon sealed inside him. Sasuke's pretentious ego and inability to empathize with the struggles of other people was a huge office of what fabricated him unlikable.
Sasuke earlier he left Konoha was bearable, he was distant and driven by revenge but he was aught like he was afterward Itachi's death. That was where my fondness for Sasuke began to waver. Equally far as his fights go I actually liked his fights for the most part just yeah in Shippuden the PIS was potent with him, especially against Deidara. Like there is no mode he had the chakra to practise what he did at the terminate.
But he's non the worst graphic symbol, Sakura is easily the worst. By far. Good article though, was interesting to read.

Probably could've have Sasuke help Naruto fight Pain then have him endeavor to kill Danzo afterward. Every unmarried action/conclusion that he took makes PERFECT sense and he takes them because of his situation. Just considering he isn't likable doesn't mean he is badly written. Simply because he might take the wrong decisions, doesn't mean he is badly written. I was a Sasuke hater merely after researching a fleck, fifty-fifty I changed and understood that Sasuke is a brilliantly written grapheme whose reasoning for his goals brand absolute sense.
I mean... I don't dislike him too much, merely that was some well written reason for you to dislike him... and apparently a bunch of other guys as well.
Sakura may exist better written than Sasuke for goodness sakes. Notwithstanding she is much more than hated and more abrasive than Sasuke.

He started as a somewhat obnoxious edgy badboy.
Betrayed the main bandage, putting them through all sorts of emotional issues as they tried to win him back to their side.
Found his ain place among team Taka, and really started to evolve into a fairly likeable anti-hero.
Abruptly threw all of his character development out the window past betraying team Taka and fifty-fifty trying to eliminate a perfectly trust-able ally for no reason at all. (Literally only a few episodes before, he was all "exit no man behind!")
Tries to destroy the leaf village for a sin that the majority of the village had nothing to do with.
Tried to impale the primary bandage repeatedly.
So gets let off with no consequences and as well hooks up with a character that he had never showed any romantic interest in whatever. A relationship which had essentially been obsessive and toxic since the very start of the series. If it had been Karen, it wouldn't have been as bad because she was an obsessive and psychologically unstable character to begin with, whereas Sakura was at the very least 'supposed' to exist a strong female person graphic symbol capable of standing on her own.
